Great place, and probably one of my favorite places to shop. Overall the staff is very helpful and the managers are very visible on the sales floor helping their employees and customers. The Magnolia staff where incredibly knowledgeable and enjoyed demoing products with me even though I couldn't buy at the time. Price matching was smooth and they didn't seem to mind at all. They even offered to price match Walmart who had a better deal at the time.
I’m very frustrated with this store. Without getting too drawn out, every time I ask for help someone points me to another person. Today I waited over 30 minutes for supposedly the only guy in the store to help me get set up with an auto start for my car. When he finally came around to helping me he acted all annoyed like I was bothering him. All that aside I was being nice because just wanted to purchase the device and set up my appointment for the install. We go through the whole process and he gives me pricing of $279. Great. He goes gets all the parts and gets my info, rings everything up, it says $430+! I ask him what happened to $279 sale price and he starts telling me about other parts I need which he didn’t mention when he quoted me the initial price. I ended up walking out without purchasing anything. I asked the front store staff where I can make a complaint and they had to make more pages to find out who can take a complaint. Really? Hard to like this store when I see a ton of staff on the floor but everyone you speak with can’t help you and points to someone else. Horrible.
The service here is great! The selection has definitely dwindled over time. They offer a good amount of products still, but nothing like the good ol' days, especially in media items, accessories, and other miscellaneous items. I was here on a Sunday and the number of employees dwarfed the number of customers. I lost track of how many times I was asked if they could help me (20+), which is nice but also bordering on obnoxious.
I really can't believe how much Best Buy has changed to become the hub of the connected consumer. I live near the Best Buy home office in Richfield and also shop at the store next to that office so my experience may benefit this, but what an amazing transformation this retailer has made. Great helpful, and intelligent staff that actually use the products they sell. Very good experience each visit! Thank you!
Also, they do price match local stores and online!
All I needed was a screen protector to be installed. After waiting about 10-15 minutes in the mobile department a group of employees showed up. I would say about 4-5 blues were asking each other who was free. Finally someone approached me. I asked to purchase a screen protector and have it installed and was sent to Geek Squad. Waited at geek squad for a second and was told to go to mobile. I said they sent me here. We glanced back at the group of blue shirts deep in conversation. The geek squad employee told me to hold on I waited a bit and ended up leaving. I worked at Best Buy for about two years and never kept a customer waiting. I'll probably purchase on amazon as I end up doing after I visit any Best Buy. Good luck to this location. I wonder if they chatting about how to improve sales.
They offer great deals on TVs and mobile phones, so check them out for those needs for sure.
To the employees: keep up the great work guys, you've made my experiences there fantastic.
